Match the pack to how the product will be sold
A small shelf pouch, a large handled bag and an e-commerce pack face different handling and presentation demands. Define the channel, fill weight, customer handling needs and acceptable shelf footprint before choosing a format.
The product's density, particle form and moisture sensitivity also affect material and seal requirements. A format suitable for one litter type may not suit another at the same nominal volume.
Check feasibility before artwork approval
Ask the supplier which bag formats, dimensions, structures and print methods are available for the expected quantity. Request the correct dieline and confirm any limits for handles, zippers, windows or special finishes.
The buyer should approve the copy, claims, language and barcode content. The supplier should confirm print specifications and technical production requirements.
Protect the product through delivery
Master cartons, pallet arrangement, container loading and storage conditions affect whether saleable packs arrive in good condition. Confirm these details before the final quotation and production schedule.
If the order will be shipped by parcel after import, test the retail pack and outer packaging for that distribution route as well as the international shipment.
